Antonio “Tony” E. Alcantar, a resident of Willow Springs, passed away while at his home Saturday, September 10, 2016, due to natural causes. Born in Flint, MI on May 15, 1936, he was 80 years old. Tony was an active member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Willow Springs for 15 years. He was married to Theresa M. Strong on June 12, 1969. Tony had many enjoyments in life which included tending to his garden, and sharing his harvest of produce with many of his friends and family. However, he especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and always had a story to share. He will be greatly missed by his family and those who knew him. Mr. Alcantar is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 39 years, Theresa M. Alcantar. He is survived by his two sons, Tony Hudson of West Plains, and Christopher Hudson and his wife, Terry of Gassville, AR; his two daughters, Rosemary Anderson and her husband Ragnar of Cherokee Village, AR; and Melissa Russell and her husband, Terry of Carthage, MO. He is further survived by his grandson, Christopher Lee Hudson and his wife, Glenda of West Plains; granddaughters, Nicole Alexander of West Plains; and Jamie Bryant and Rebecca Bryant of Wisconsin. Also surviving are other grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many more that considered him as their own “grandpa.” A memorial service for Mr. Alcantar will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at the Willow Funeral Home, located at 106 E.
