Mrs. Elva Louise Collins

October 26, 1945 - March 4, 2022

Elva Louise Collins, a resident of Willow Springs, passed away Friday, March 4, 2022, while at Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains, MO. She was born October 26, 1945, in Willow Springs to George Ivan and Bertha Mae (Dennis) Beasley and was 76 years old. Growing up, Louise attended Willow Springs High School. She married Richard Junior Collins on February 27, 1963, at the home of Charles Owens. Louise and her family lived in Houston, TX for 13 years, and during that time she trained many dogs to be guard dogs. After moving back to Willow Springs, she worked for approximately 3 years at the Brown Shoe Factory, but she was principally a homemaker. She had many interests in life; she loved horses, and in her youth, she truly enjoyed horseback riding. She also loved to read, do different kinds of crafts, baking, and spending time with her family. She attended church at Blue Buck before her health started to fail. She will be greatly missed by her family, her friends, and all who knew her. Louise was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, Rudolph Siegrist; two brothers: Gene Beasley and Berchell Beasley; two nephews: Brian Wesley Collins and Anthony Beasley; and her brothers and sisters-in-law: Donald and Juanita Collins; Dorothy and Ocie Bunch; and Don and Opal Brixey. She is survived by her husband, Richard Collins; her daughter, Lorretta Jean Collins; and her daughter, Donna Kay Glassburn and her husband, Dave, all of Willow Springs; two sisters-in-law: Gloria Beasley and Marie Beasley of Montgomery, TX; and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations to the Convoy of Hope, 330 S. Patterson Ave., Springfield, MO 65802 in her memory, and they may be left at the funeral home. No services are planned at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Willow Funeral Home, LLC. Online condolences may be left at www.willowspringsfuneralhome.com
