Ronald Meredith McClung, a resident of Willow Springs, passed away while at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains on Tuesday, October 25, 2016, due to natural causes. Born in Galion, OH on July 29, 1943, to John Spencer McClung and Evelyn Edith (Sisson) McClung, he was 73 years old. Ronald graduated from high school in Florence, AZ in 1960. He then moved back to Fredericktown, OH and worked as a mechanic at Steven's Pontiac for 10 years. He was married to Lauren Leslie St. Clair on April 25, 1973 in Bristol, TN. Ron then went to work for Kokosing Construction as a shop worker where he worked for 26 years. Ronald and Lauren then moved to Willow Springs where he went to work for White Industries as a laborer for 15 years. Ron was a perfectionist at everything he did and he made sure everything was done correctly. Work was his hobby and he could do anything he put his mind to. He liked to stay busy building things with wood and metal; he enjoyed working on tractors and rebuilding cars as well. He rebuilt a 1952 and a 1954 Ford pickup, which he was quite proud of. He also enjoyed being outdoors and riding his horses. He will be greatly missed by his family and those who knew him. Mr. McClung is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Patricia. He is survived by his beloved wife, Lauren; five sisters, Helen, Betty, Sharon, Janice, and Peg, all of Ohio; sister in law, Lynne Aberts and her husband Chris of Bellville, OH; brother in law, Jon St. Clair and his wife Mary of Fredericktown, OH. He is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Arrangements are under the direction of Willow Funeral Home.
