Ruth Hinckley (Randall) Baker

January 4, 1942 - January 16, 2022

Ruth Hinckley (Randall) Baker, 80, of Lehigh Acres, FL and Birch Tree, MO, passed away January 16, 2022. Ruth was born January 4, 1942, in Nashville, Michigan to Bruce and Doris (Hinckley) Randall. She grew up in Nashville, MI and obtained her B.A. degree from Western Michigan University before beginning her life as an educator and musician. She married the love of her life, Kenneth E. Baker, in June 1968 and relocated to Florida, where she raised four children, educated hundreds of music students at school and in her home, and contributed extensively to the life of her church and community. Ruth and Ken completed a six-year service mission at the Orlando LDS Temple and completed thousands of hours of volunteer work in the church’s genealogy library. She also ran her own small business, operating numerous rental properties across her community. After the death of her beloved husband in 2006, Ruth traveled extensively, visiting the Holy Land and bringing her joyful presence to the homes of family and friends across the U.S. She later remarried Woodroe Dulaney and, when her health issues began to outpace his ability to provide necessary care, she spent her final days receiving love and support from her daughter in Missouri. Ruth was a woman of tremendous inner strength. She lived her life quietly and humbly, giving all she had in the service of those she loved. Her kindness, dignity and care have made a tremendous impact on the world and will long be remembered. Thru life's trials she always persevered with diligence, hard work, and grace. She remained focused on her eternal journey and is rejoicing in the presence of her Lord and Savior today. Ruth was predeceased by her husband, Ken Baker, and children Monique Baker Sims and John Baker, as well as her grandson, Joshua Sims and her parents, Bruce and Doris Randall, and sister Jane (Don) Grier. Surviving are Ruth’s daughter, Coleen and Rockey Stubbs and son, Duane and Jennie Baker. Grandchildren: Jeremy Sims, J'ami Sims, Cody Stubbs, Kady Stubbs Cockrum, Ty Stubbs, SadieRose Stubbs Cornman, Alyvia Baker, Sophia Braun, Mary Braun, and Catherine Braun, as well as numerous great grandchildren who were the twinkle in her eyes! She is also survived by her nieces: Stephanie Van Koevering and Shelly Charles, both of whom were especially dear to her heart. A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at Willow Funeral Home, LLC with funeral services immediately following at 11:00 A.M. with Pres. Don Christensen officiating. Interment will be held at a later date at Ft. Myers Memorial Gardens in Ft. Myers, FL. Arrangements are under the direction of Willow Funeral Home, LLC.
