Mrs. Theresa M. Boone

Theresa May Boone, a resident of Republic, MO passed away Friday, October 5, 2018 while at Cancer Treatment Centers of America, Tulsa, OK. Born February 26, 1956 to Junior Lee and Patricia Kay (Dotson) Daugherity in Fresno,CA; she was 62 years old. Theresa grew up and attended school in Purdy, MO. She was married to Kenneth James (Jim) Boone on February 10, 1991 in Springfield, MO. She accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior and was baptized in May of 2013 at the Springhill Baptist Church. She loved the Lord, and loved to attend church services when her health permitted. She was a member of the Crossway Baptist Church in Springfield, MO. She had many interests in life; she liked to cook and to go fishing. She also enjoyed going to the casinos. However, her favorite times were spent with her family and it has been said that her entire life revolved around them. Theresa will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her father, Junior Lee Daugherity; her mother-in-law, Carolyn Boone; her father-in-law, Ken Boone; two sons, Jeremy and Jason Stoops; a brother-in-law, Rick Tate; and grandson, Nicholas Shane. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth James (Jim) Boone of Republic; her son, Roger Shane Stoops and his wife, Cheri also of Republic; daughters, Latricia May Murdie and her husband, James of Brookline, MO; Jessie Kay McDaris and her husband, E. J. of Springfield, MO; Jamie Marie Boone-Romine and her husband, Jeremy of Jonesboro, AR; and Kenzie Nicole Boone of Kansas City, MO. Also surviving are her mother, Patricia Kay Daugherity of Cassville, MO; a sister, Brenda Tate of Monett, MO; four siblings and four grandchildren: Trey McDaris, Dalane Murdie, Aries Murdie, and Brooklyn Stoops. She is further survived by a host of nieces and nephews. A visitation for Mrs. Boone will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Willow Funeral Home, LLC, 106 E. Third St., Willow Springs, MO. Graveside services will follow at Dry Creek Cemetery at 12:00 PM with Pastor John Stroup officiating. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made in Theresa’s name to Freeway Ministries.
